Privacy Policy

Summary

Kalima is an offline-first audiobook player for Android. Kalima does not require an account, does not show ads, does not use analytics in this release, and does not upload audiobook files, listening progress, bookmarks, notes, or settings to Korionx servers in this release.

Information Stored On The Device

Kalima may store the folder permission selected by the user through Android's system file picker, audiobook metadata discovered from local files, listening progress, playback position, bookmarks, character notes, user-created notes, playback settings, and backup or restore files when the user chooses to export or import them.

Information Not Collected

In this release, Kalima does not collect or transmit names, email addresses, phone numbers, location, contacts, photos, camera data, microphone data, SMS data, call logs, advertising identifiers, analytics events, crash reports, audiobook files, listening history, bookmarks, notes, or library contents.

Permissions

Kalima uses Android permissions for foreground media playback, playback notifications, reliable background listening, audio output controls, and the optional shake-to-extend sleep timer. Kalima accesses audiobook files only after the user selects a folder through Android's system file picker.

Sharing

Kalima does not share user data with third parties in this release.

Data Deletion

Users can delete Kalima data by removing books or notes inside the app, deleting backup files they created, clearing app storage in Android settings, or uninstalling the app. Because this release does not create an account or store user data on Korionx servers, there is no server-side account data to delete.

Future Online Features

Future releases may add optional online features, paid subscriptions, cloud sync, or integrations with other Korionx products such as Zalfol. If that happens, this policy and the app's in-app disclosures will be updated before those features collect or transmit data.

Changes

Korionx may update this policy as Kalima changes. The effective date above will be updated when the policy changes.
