A salesperson bowed to greet guests; a cashier looked away as a customer entered her credit PIN; an elderly man - carried by troops out of the ruins - answered reporters with a smile… A country where people can keep composure and dignity, p…oliteness and kindness in the aftermath of a disaster is a truly great country.
